ITV America unit Leftfield Pictures has tapped Andrew Schecter as vice president of development. He comes from Scripps Networks Interactive, where he was VP of development across Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel.

UNIVERSAL TELEVISION
Jason Steinberg was named head of post-production at Universal Television Alternative Studio in Universal City, Calif. The veteran editor has been involved with such shows as Shark Tank, The Bachelor and The X Factor.

NBC BOSTON/NECN
Ben Dobson was named vice president of news for NBC Boston, Telemundo Boston and New England Cable News. He comes from NBC-owned WVIT in Hartford, Conn., where he had been the station’s VP of news.
