Also, Carlos Silva was named chief operating officer at Back9, and Reid Gorman was named chief administrative officer and executive VP, golf industry relations.

Melissa Drucker was named senior vice president, television sales at BBC America. She comes from The Weather Channel, where she handled national and direct- response ad sales.

Julie Meisner Eagle was upped to vice president of production and development at Discovery Life Channel (the former Discovery Fit & Health). She had been an executive producer at Discovery Channel.

El Rey Network has upped Chad Blankenship to senior vice president, marketing and communications. He had been VP, marketing.
Also, Katie Lanegran has joined El Rey as vice president, public relations. She had been VP, pubic relations at SundanceTV.

Megan Lawrence has been named vice president, programming and development at Food Network and Cooking Channel, based in Los Angeles. She comes from WE tv, where she was senior director, development.
HBO
Tom Woodbury advanced to president, global distribution, at HBO. He had been general counsel and executive vice president, Network Business Affairs.
NBCUNIVERSAL
Kathleen Polett and Kevin O’Donnell were both promoted to senior vice president, syndication sales, at NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution. Polett is based in Chicago and responsible for the U.S. Central region; O’Donnell is based in Atlanta and will oversee the Southeast region, as well as taking on increased group sales responsibilities.

Tim Bowell has joined Outdoor Channel as vice president, distribution and affiliate marketing, based in New York. He comes from Asia TV USA, where he most recently served as senior VP, distribution.
