Joe Bell has joined Comcast’s California Technical Operations group as area vice president for the South Valley, comprising Fresno, Merced, Visalia, Santa Maria and North Santa Barbara, Calif. He comes from the MSO’s Big South region, where he was director of technical operations for the region comprising Central and Southern Mississippi, Louisiana and Southern Alabama.

Jill Underhill has joined Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries parent Crown Media Family Networks as senior vice president, on-air promotions. She was owner and creative director of Buzz Creative, where she developed promotional strategies for a variety of TV programs.

High-school sports content producer PlayOn! Sports has named Christopher Young senior vice president, sales, of the NFHS Network, responsible for working with national brands and partners. Before joining PlayOn! in 2014, he was director, strategic sports partnerships, for CBS Altitude.
Also, Owen Shull has been named senior vice president, general manager, PlayOn! Sports Properties. He had been chiefrevenue officer of the Chick-fil-A Bowl and the College Football Hall of Fame prior to joining PlayOn! in March 2013.

Terry Maloney has joined the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers in Exton, Pa., as vice president, marketing and development. The veteran senior-level cable marketer had most recently been responsible for marketing to Fortune 1000 companies for Entertainment Promotions.

Bonita Springs, Fla.-based service provider Summit Broadband has added Jerry Stender as director of network operations. He comes from Cable One, where he led technical operations in Northeast Mississippi.

Turner Broadcasting System has upped Justin Williams to senior vice president, digital ventures, at TNT and TBS. He had been VP, digital for the pair of Turner Entertainment networks.
