Pete Thompson has joined Rovi in San Carlos, Calif., as executive vice president, chief operating officer, tasked with directly overseeing the company’s post-merger product integration with TiVo from TiVo’s San Jose, Calif., offices. He comes from Sonos, where he was senior VP, strategic partnerships.

Chris DeBlasio advanced to senior vice president, sports communications at Showtime Networks. He will continue to oversee the programmer’s sports media, talent and public relations, sports awards, live event production support and sports messaging.
