Comcast has tapped two new executives to help lead its Houston region: Scott Horne was named vice president of engineering and David Salazar was appointed vice president of marketing. Horne comes from Bright House Networks, where he was VP of operations and GM; Salazar had been VP and GM with Coca- Cola Refreshments.

Kamelia Angelova has joined Mashable in New York as director of emerging platforms, tasked with expanding original video production and visual storytelling on Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. She previously led video operations at websites Business Insider and Tech Insider.

Luis Rosero was named vice president, government affairs at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, based in Miami. He comes from Toyota Motor North America, where he was director and cofounder of the Hispanic Business Strategy Group.

Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution has promoted Gina Brogi to president of global distribution, based in Los Angeles and responsible for the worldwide distribution of TV series and feature films across all media and platforms including pay, basic and free TV. She had been executive VP of worldwide pay TV and SVOD.

The Weather Co. has added a pair of New York-based executives to its sales organization: Jana Friedman as vice president, East Coast ad sales; and Tom Kersten as vice president, partner solutions. Friedman was director and head of national CPFG sales at Twitter; Kersten had been chief revenue officer at Wanderful.
