TNT’s National Basketball Association Playoffs coverage is being promoted by an Entourage.
Jeremy Piven, who plays Ari Gold on the HBO series, will appear in several spots touting the Turner Broadcasting System-owned network’s coverage of the upcoming NBA postseason, billed as 40 Games in 40 Nights.
TNT said the promos feature Piven walking out onto the basketball court as the game takes place around him, and as he talks about “the drama and excitement of the playoffs, the action freezes, leaving players hanging in mid-air, showcasing their acrobatic moves.”
Players featured in the spots include the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade and the Phoenix Suns’ Steve Nash.
TNT said the spots will roll out this week on sister networks TBS, CNN, CNN Airport Network, Cartoon Network and Court TV, and they will be available online on TNT OverTime on NBA.com and the NBA’s YouTube channel.
