PlayStation Vue Kicks Off Access to NFL Network

PlayStation Vue, Sony’s OTT-TV service, is gearing up for the new football season by launching NFL Network and offering NFL RedZone as an add-on subscription.

PS Vue said NFL Network is offered on its national Core and Elite tiers. Subs on those packages can also sign up for NFL RedZone for an additional $39.99 for the full regular season, Dwayne Benefield, head of PlayStation Vue, announced on this blog post.

He noted that subscribers on Core or  Elite “soon” will also have access to Watch NFL Network via NFL.com, the NFL app, and via NFL Mobile for no additional cost.

PS Vue Core starts at $34.99 per month ($44.99 per month in cities that PS Vue offers live local broadcast stations); while Elite starts at $44.99 per month, or $54.99 month in the markets that the service supports live local TV.

PS Vue offers the local feeds of ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC in their respective owned-and-operated markets, as well as CBS local feeds in select Sinclair, Raycom and Midwest Television markets.

In markets where PS Vue doesn’t offer certain live local broadcast TV feeds, it offers next-day, on-demand access to shows from those broadcasters.

PS Vue is currently offered on the PS4 and PS3 consoles,  Amazon Fire TV devices, Roku devices, and apps for iOS and Android mobile devices. The service is also optimized for the Google Chromecast streaming adapter.
