Primetime Ratings: State of the Union Draws 30.7 Million Viewers on Broadcast Nets
Fox easily won the night with an hour of American Idol at 8pm on a night where outside of Idol, the broadcast schedule was dominated by President Obama's State of the Union address and repeats.
Numbers for the cable news outlets won't be available until this afternoon, and even for the broadcast networks we'll have to wait for the finals to see how many people watched the address since Obama spoke for more than an hour (but less than 90 minutes), plus the very approximate nature of live events. After Obama's address was the Republican response and analysis.
