Production Begins on Hallmark Drama
Hallmark Channel has begun production on its first-ever original one-hour
drama series.
The network, which will be relaunched Aug. 5, announced that work on
University started in Montreal this week.
Hallmark has yet to announce a premiere date for the skein, created by Bruce
Smith and presented by Hallmark Entertainment and Muse Entertainment
Enterprises.
Harkening back to Dead Poet's Society, the series will focus on the
ethics, moral issues and controversy between characters at the fictional
Dorchester University.
R.H. Thomson (The Road to Avonlea, Sherlock Holmes in `The Royal
Scandal') stars as professor Harrison Grace Copeland, an ethics teacher with
a notorious past.
