Rapid Buys Frontier Cable

published Rapid Communications has acquired the assets of Frontier Cable of Wisconsin, a small cable operator with about 2,550 subscribers in the Wisconsin suburbs of St. Paul, Minn. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rapid provides cable-television and advanced services to customers in small and midsized markets in Indiana, Virginia, Wisconsin, California and Nevada, and its owners include private-equity firms Alta Communications, Columbia Capital and Housatonic Partners.
Waller Capital Corp. initiated the transaction and served as Frontier’s financial adviser.
