RCN Corp. announced that it's launching HDTV service in Washington, D.C., and
Lehigh Valley, Pa.
The company has launched an HDTV premium tier with ESPN, HDNet, HDNet Movies
and Discovery HD Theater. RCN is also carrying the HDTV feeds of local ABC, NBC,
Fox and PBS affiliates, plus Home Box Office and Showtime.
SeaChange International Inc. also announced that RCN is using its VOD servers
in its launches in Boston and the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens and
Manhattan.
