RCN to Spread Music, Games

RCN extended its RCN Music and RCN Games services to locations outside of its service area.

RCN Music offers multiple genres in CD-quality audio encoded at 128 kilobits per second, and its RCN's MusicToGo subscription service provides downloads to MP3 players or other portable devices that support Windows Media Player 10 for $13.95 per month.

RCN Games offers free single-player and multiplayer online games, as well as games for purchase.

“Offering these high-demand products in new areas is a first step to extending our services to an audience who sees the RCN name every day,” RCN vice president of product and pricing Mark Chinn said in a prepared statement.
