RCN Trading on NASDAQ National Market

Shares of RCN Corp. common stock began trading on the NASDAQ National Market Monday under the ticker symbol “RCNI,” the company said.

RCN filed a prepackaged Chapter 11 petition last May, and the MSO emerged from bankruptcy Dec. 22, when it converted about $1.2 billion in unsecured debt into new equity and eliminated about $1.8 billion in preferred-share obligations.

“We're extremely excited about our listing on the NASDAQ National Market," CEO Peter D. Aquino said in a prepared statement. "Our listing enhances our market exposure and increases our visibility to a broad spectrum of investors."
