ReelzChannel Lands 'Brothers & Sisters'
ReelzChannel will air episodes from past seasons of broadcast network ABC drama series Brothers & Sisters as part of a deal between the network and series distributor Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
Episodes from the first four seasons of the family drama series starring Sally Field will air weeknights on the network beginning Oct. 4, said Reelzchannel officials. The non-exclusive, off-network basic cable rights deal also provides ReelzChannel with future access to the upcoming fifth season.
The series is executive-produced by Ken Olin (Alias, Thirtysomething), Greg Berlanti (No Ordinary Family, Dirty Sexy Money, Everwood), David Marshall Grant, Sarah Caplan, Michael Morris and Sally Field. It is produced by ABC Studios.
Brothers & Sisters joins other off-network series such as Ally McBeal and NewsRadio on the Reelzchannel lineup.
"Brothers & Sisters gives our viewers a riveting family drama led by Academy Award®-winner Sally Field," said Mike Smith, Senior Vice President of ReelzChannel Programming. "Viewers will also see their favorite actors from both movies and television in a number of memorable guest starring roles including Jon Tenney, Susan Sullivan and Danny Glover to name a few."
