Rentrak Corp. announced that its “OnDemand Essentials Content Provider” Web site is live, providing one-dozen content providers with daily video-on-demand performance information.
Content owners have password-protected access to information such as performance by title, audience sharing, weekly top titles and competitive performance by network category.
Rentrak said its content subscribers include Paramount Studios, CBS, MTV: Music Television, Nickelodeon, Noggin, The N, Comedy Central, VH1, Expo TV, NFL Network, Ripe TV, Music Choice and National Geographic Channel.
Also available: total views by set-top, unique set-top views, total minutes viewed and the VOD-enabled universe -- data MSOs have approved for sharing with advertisers.
Rentrak said OnDemand Essentials has captured 1 billion VOD transactions in the first eight months of 2005.
