New York-Multichannel News is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Reynolds as news editor, effective today.
Reynolds, the former New York bureau chief at Cable World magazine, will play a key role in shaping the editorial content of Multichannel News' weekly and daily online editions, overseeing the magazine's staff of 10 full-time reporters and stable of contributing editors.
Before joining Cable World in September 1997 to cover programming, marketing and other topics, Reynolds spent seven years at the biweekly magazine Inside Media, ultimately as executive editor. In between, he was editor in chief of Sporting Goods Dealer, a monthly trade publication.
He reports to editor Kent Gibbons, who reports to editor in chief Marianne Paskowski.
"Marianne and I are thrilled to have hired such a skilled, experienced media business journalist, who will help us improve our product and serve our readers better," Gibbons said. "My association with Mike dates back to the same college newspaper, so I know first hand how much he can contribute."
