RFD-TV Expands Charter Carriage
RFD-TV, the cable network catering to rural Americans, said it has expanded its carriage agreement with Charter Communications to include areas in which it is not already carried.
Beginning in late October, those expanded markets will include cities like St. Louis, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Sacramento, Calif., RFD-TV said in a statement.
Over the past 12 months RFD-TV has added programming like Market Day Report, Rural Evening News and Rural Town Hall, which have led to higher ratings.
“We've crossed into some uncharted territory as a network, and this incremental growth with Charter enables millions more potential viewers to come along with us," said Rural Media Group founder and president Patrick Gottsch in a statement. “I am extremely grateful to the executive team at Charter.”
