Bob Costas will conduct a rare interview with Hall of Famer Willie Mays next Tuesday.
The two-time National League MVP will touch on an array of subjects during his appearance on Studio 42 with Bob Costas that will debut Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on MLB Network.
The conversation will include Mays's playing in the Negro Leagues; being signed by the New York Giants; his hitting style; his famous over-the-shoulder catch against Vic Wertz; his thoughts on fellow Hall of Famers, Jackie Robinson, Stan Musial, Mickey Mantle and Joe Dimaggio; and his relationship with godson, Barry Bonds.
The man known as the "Say Hey Kid" will also talk about his new book, Willie Mays: The Life, The Legend, the proceeds from which will benefit his various charitable organizations.
