A.B. Cruz III has joined The E.W. Scripps Co. in the newly created position of senior vice president and general counsel.
Cruz had been VP, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary at BET Holdings Inc.
He will be responsible for coordinating and developing the company's legal functions across all of its operating divisions and media enterprises, reporting directly to CEO Kenneth W. Lowe.
