LOS ANGELES - Showtime Networks Inc.
and Artisan Entertainment have extended their domestic output deal for the studio's theatrical film titles through 2008, officials said last week.
Under the pact, Showtime will have exclusive premium-TV rights to a maximum of 133 Artisan theatrical releases, including the upcoming Dirty Dancing 2
and the prequel to The Blair Witch Project,
which is written and produced by Haxan Films, creators of the Blair Witch
franchise.
