Showtime Networks Inc. continues to add original programming to its premium
multiplexes.
Showtime Next, aimed at generation "Y," has acquired Planet Rock
Profiles, a 24-episode music-documentary series featuring such artists as Ja
Rule, Lenny Kravitz, OutKast, Coldplay and Moby. The series airs Wednesdays at 8
p.m.
Meanwhile, Showtime Beyond has secured 26 episodes of Dark Knight from
Lantern Lane Entertainment. The series is a creative retelling of the
Ivanhoe legend, according to network officials. Dark Knight will
bow sometime next year.
