Showtime Networks Inc. will be a sponsor for numerous gay and lesbian festivals and events during the 2005 pride season, the programmer said Tuesday.
The company said that through November, it will participate in approximately 20 pride events and festivals across the nation, attended by more than 4 million LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual) people.
Showtime said it will also sponsor various gay and lesbian film festivals.
Lesbian and gay programming such as The L Word and Queer as Folk are part of the premium network’s lineup.
