Showtime To Toss Out First Pitch On SF Giants Reality Series July 13
Showtime will officially put its docuseries about the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants in play the day after MLB's All-Star Game.
Showtime and MLB Productions will debut The Franchise: A Season With The San Francisco Giants, on July 13 at 10 p.m.
The debut of the series -- a sneak preview ran in April -- comes on a relatively dead night in the sporting calendar: MLB has yet to resume its campaign, following the Mid-Summer Classic the day before at Chase Field in Phoenix, while The ESPYs, the worldwide leader's awards show premieres on July 13 as well.
This new docuseries follows the 2010 World Series champions as they defend their crown. With unprecedented access to Giants players, their families, coaches and team personnel, the show affords a candid look at the struggles, relationships and day-to-day lives of MLB players.
