Matt Singer will be the new anchor of The Independent Film Channel’s IFC News.
Singer, a film critic and a free-lance writer for IFC.com (www.ifc.com), will report on the independent-film arena, including festival coverage and industry events, for both the network and its Web site.
“We wanted somebody who not only possessed a journalist background and extensive knowledge of the film industry, but also someone with a fun and engaging demeanor who could bring entertainment value to our viewers,” IFC director of original series and live events Christine Lubrano said in a prepared statement. “We found that perfect combination in Matt.”
