Smith Extends FNC Contract

Fox News Channel said it signed anchor Shepard Smith to a new long-term
contract.

Smith -- who anchors FNC's evening-news program, The Fox Report with
Shepard Smith -- joined the network when it launched in 1996.

Smith previously worked in Los Angeles as a correspondent for Fox News
Edge and as a reporter for A Current Affair.
