Spooner: ADcom Making Progress

ADcom Information Services Inc. expects to sign five new markets for its
local-cable-ratings reports by year's end, executive vice president Dick Spooner
said.

Spooner said ADcom has been or soon will be pitching such MSOs as Charter
Communications Inc., Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable, and it has also been
talking with AT&T Broadband about adding to its market list.

The research firm -- which is already producing reports for AT&T
Broadband in Jacksonville, Fla., San Francisco and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas --
will add Sacramento, Calif., in 'early first-quarter 2003,' he said.

On the buyer side, Zenith Media two weeks ago signed to use those ratings for
its cable buys, while MediaCom Worldwide and Starcom North America signed
earlier this spring.

ADcom should also be churning out ratings data in Cleveland by year-end for
Adelphia Communications Corp., he said, adding, 'Our contract for that market
transcends any ownership change' in case the financially troubled MSO sells to
another company.
