published
Starz Entertainment has deployed a 24-terabyte storage system from Archion that meets the bandwidth requirements for uncompressed high-definition video across multiple graphics platforms.
The pay-TV network recently relaunched its graphics packages in HD, according to Starz senior designer and tech specialist Michael Price, “and we needed the HD bandwidth for our storage solution.”
The Alliance Pro storage-area network from Burbank, Calif.-based Archion supports the graphics packages Starz is using from Apple, Adobe Systems and Autodesk. The Archion SAN also handles both PC and Mac environments.
