Starz Encore Group LLC said Wednesday that it has realigned its corporate-communications department.
Chelsye J. Burrows has been promoted to executive director of corporate communications. She had been had been director of multicultural communications.
In her new position, Burrows will have responsibility for all programming publicity. In addition, she will continue to oversee publicity for Black Starz! and WAM! America’s Kidz Network.
Eric Becker, also executive director of corporate communications, will continue to report to vice president of corporate communications Tom Southwick, as will Burrows.
Becker will have primary responsibility for public relations in the field, working with cable and satellite affiliates to launch such new products as Starz On Demand, Encore On Demand and Starz! HD. He will also continue to play a key role in trade public relations.
