SVU Rates in Late-Night
USA Network's airing of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit was tops in series history on the cable channel, which claimed
that it was also the highest-rated show ever repurposed from a broadcast
network.
The March 3 episode earned a 2.3 household rating from 11 p.m. to midnight,
according to Nielsen Media Research data supplied by the network.
Law & Order: SVU, which airs on USA Network nine
days after its initial run on NBC, had been averaging a 1.2 during its previous
four installments.
During the year to date, the show is averaging a 1.4
household rating in the late-night slot, up 4 percent from the prior-year
period.
Moreover, it has scored a 12 percent increase with adults 25 through 54,
USA's target audience.

association with Studios USA Television.
It began running on USA in October 1999.
