America Online Inc. said it will offer an on-demand version of TBS’ Earth to America comedy special through AOL.com (www.aol.com) beginning Monday.
TBS plans to premiere the stand-up comedy special Sunday night. AOL will offer the program free-of-charge online through the end of the year.
Developed by Laurie David -- wife of Home Box Office star Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm) -- the comedy special will feature stand-up comedy, videotaped vignettes and comedy sketches.
Talent included in the program includes Jason Alexander, Jack Black, Blue Man Group, Cedric “The Entertainer,” Rob Corddry, Larry David, Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Ferrell, Al Franken, Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Dustin Hoffman, Eric Idle, Jenifer Lewis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bill Maher, Steve Martin, Tim McGraw, Kevin Nealon, Conan O’Brien, Ray Romano, Martin Short, Ben Stiller, Wanda Sykes, Jeffrey Tambor and Robin Williams.
AOL said its on-demand version of the program will feature content that won’t make it into the TBS broadcast. The online version will also be split up into chapters, which, AOL said, will make it easier to find individual performances.
