Texas Cable & Telecommunications Association vice president of government relations Kathy Grant is establishing her own legislative consulting firm.
Grant will still serve as a consultant to the trade group.
“After five years with TCTA that included many important, well-publicized legislative battles and goals and objectives met and matched, I have decided that it is time to explore new professional challenges,” Grant said in a prepared statement.
TCTA secretary/treasurer and Time Warner Cable Houston president Ron McMillan added, “While I am pleased that Kathy remains a consultant to TCTA, she will be sorely missed. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and extraordinary leadership abilities have guided this association and helped the cable industry to realize the paramount importance of effective representation before the Texas Legislature and the Public Utility Commission.”
