The owner of a Tennessee technology firm was sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to pay $2.6 million in restitution for pirating DirecTV Inc. hardware.
J. Jason Tolleson of Smyrna pleaded guilty in February, according to the Tennessee U.S. Attorney’s Office. Four employees of his business, JT Technology, received probation plus restitution orders of between $20,000-$30,000.
