Tennis On Court With French Open Previews
With ESPN2 taking the day off, Tennis Channel is the place for Roland Garros coverage on Memorial Day.
The network will air first-round matches live from 5 a.m.-3 p.m. (ET), followed by encores and its French Open Tonight program.
In addition to its 25 million subscribers, Tennis Channel’s exposure will more than double for its presentation of the French Open via free previews, reaching some 55 million homes, according to network officials.
DirecTV and Dish Network -- both of which are offering mosaics enabling viewers to choose from Tennis’ main feed and action from five other courts, or enlarge the screen to center on one match -- are making the network available to all of their customers during the fortnight from Paris.
Verizon FiOS TV Verizon will present Tennis to subscribers in Boston; New York; Philadelphia and Pittsburgh; Baltimore andWashington, D.C.; Richmond, Va.; Tampa; Dallas; Providence, R.I.; Los Angeles; and Seattle.
Overbuilder Knology is serving up the service in Augusta and Columbus, Ga.; Huntsville and Montgomery, Ala.; Knoxville, Tenn.; and Tampa and Panama City, Fla.
Top cable operators are also making the Tennis preview accessible to subscribers in a number of their markets, notably:
