Time Warner COPAN with Tape Library
By MCN Staff
published Time Warner Cable will use COPAN Systems’ “Revolution 200T” to replace its tape library, the vendor said Tuesday.
The Revolution 200T will also speed access to archived data for the MSO’s local-television-news reporting, COPAN said.
“Archived data on tape was simply not useful to us, and the retrieval process was slow and cumbersome,” Time Warner local-news group director of technology Chris Lemire said in a prepared statement. “COPAN has established itself as a true innovator in the industry, offering a competitive disk-based solution at the price and scale of tape.”
