Time Warner Cable and Verizon Communications have a new competitor offering
high-speed Web access and voice services to small businesses in New York.
Power utility Consolidated Edison Inc.'s competitive-local-exchange-carrier
unit said Monday that it's targeting companies with 25 to 500 employees with new
offerings: "PowerNet Internet" and "PowerCall Voice Services."
The CLEC already links 80 commercial buildings.
