TNT has renewed its sophomore drama series The Last Ship for a third season, the network said Tuesday.
The network has ordered 13 episodes for the third season of the series, which chronicles a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world's population.

The show is the most watched scripted series of the summer among adults 18-49 and is averaging some 9 million viewers across TNT's linear, VOD, digital and mobile platforms, said the network.
