Travel Channel Names Leadership Team
Travel Channel named Patrick Lafferty chief creative officer Wednesday, and made several other personnel moves.
The executive shuffle follows the $1.3 billion dealCox closed with Discovery Communications in May, which saw Cox exchange its 25% stake in Discovery for Travel Channel and Travel Media.
Travel Channel president and general manager Pat Younge also named Johnathan Sichel senior vice president of commercial affairs. Sichel worked previously as vice president of business affairs at Discovery.
Former TLC vice president Michael Klein was named senior vice president of content, former Discovery director Mickey McKenzie was named vice president of production management and operations at Travel Channel Media and former Cox Enterprises executive Brett Woods was named vice president of business operations.
In other moves, former Discovery producer Matthew Gould was named vice president of development, former Discovery vice president Linette Hwu was named vice president of legal affairs, former Discovery executive Rex Recka was named vice president of business affairs, former Cox Communications executive Kay Robinson was named corporate director of people services and former Discovery executive Adam Sutherland was named vice president of strategy and business development.
