TV One Nears 23M Subs
TV One said Tuesday that it added more than 1 million households in September.
The network, mainly owned by Comcast Corp. and Radio One Inc., said it is now in nearly 23 million households.
Recent launches for TV One were: Bright House Networks in Tampa, Fla.; Comcast Corp. in Miami and Vero Beach, Fla., and Fort Wayne, Ind.; Time Warner Cable in Kansas City and Raleigh/Durham and Wilmington, N.C.; Cox Communications Inc. in Humboldt, Calif., and Russellville, Ark.; Charter Communications Inc. in California City, Calif.; and Mid-Continent Communications in Minot, N.D.
“Our target audience is responding enthusiastically to the channel and we're enjoying great success with our launch marketing efforts, helping our affiliates to reach out to an underserved audience and achieve their subscriber-growth goals,” TV One executive vice president of affiliate sales and marketing Brad Samuels said in a prepared statement.
