The Weather Channel is using TVN Entertainment Corp.’s TVNow encoding service and satellite transport network to get Katrina coverage to video-on-demand servers across the country.
Video includes Katrina coverage, beginning Aug. 25, as the storm picked up steam in the Atlantic Ocean. TVNow allows Weather to quickly encode and transport VOD content across the country.
Weather also announced multiyear VOD services agreement with TVN, which includes Storm Stories fare.
