TVWorks licensed Bitstream's Font Fusion font-rasterizing technology and Tiresias Screenfont, a font developed by the Royal National Institute for the Blind to improve the legibility of text on TV screens.
The interactive-TV joint venture between Comcast and Cox Communications was formed in April 2005 when their Double C Technologies JV completed its purchase of Liberate Technologies’ North American assets.
