Universal Sports Nets Steeplechase Championships
Universal Sports will air live coverage of the U.S. Steeplechase Championships in October as part of a multi-year deal reached between the network and The National Steeplechase Association (NSA) announced Thursday.
The three-year agreement calls for Universal Sports to televise five hours of live championship coverage on Oct. 17 begininng at noon, as well as coverage of additional NSA events in 2010, according to network officials.
"We're very excited to add this great new event to the Universal Sports stable, and to promote U.S. Steeplechase competition to our wide audience," said Carlos Silva, Universal Sports president and COO in a statement. "We look forward to having a long-term relationship with the NSA for years to come."
