ESPN2 will air a five-part documentary series profiling the U.S. men’s basketball as it gets ready to go for Olympic gold in Beijing.
Road to Redemption presented by Nike, tips off July 2 at 7 p.m.on ESPN2. The one-hour debut episode focuses on team USA’s recent history, including the 1992 Dream Team, the repeat gold medals in the 1996 and 2000, and the bronze medal-winning team from Athens four years ago. It will also follow Jerry Colangelo in his role of managing director of the squad, as well as key players and storylines involving Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Jason Kidd and Carmelo Anthony, among others.
Four half-hour episodes will follow in July and August. Following their debuts, additional content from the series will be available on ESPN.com, NBA.com, NBA YouTube channel and Nikebasketball.com.
