Verizon won video franchises for its FiOS TV service in Cortlandt, N.Y., where it’ll take on Cablevision, and Framingham, Mass, where it’ll compete with Comcast and RCN.
The Cortlandt Town Board granted Verizon a video franchise Aug. 14. With the addition of Cortlandt, Verizon counts franchises in 54 New york communities.
Verizon offers FiOS TV to more than 340,000 households in 51 Massachusetts communities.
