Verizon Communications will fill approximately 50 more positions at its state-of-the-art Fiber Solutions Center in Oxnard, Calif., to support its FiOS broadband and video products.
The telco said it has already hired 64 new FSC employees in Oxnard since October.
Verizon added that it plans to pass 18 million premises with its fiber network by the end of 2010, or more than 50% of the approximately 33 million households in the company's 28-state wireline-service area.
