published VH1 will debut hour-long special Michael Jackson's Secret Childhood Saturday at 9 p.m. (EST/PST).
The special will bring viewers to the Jackson family homes in Gary, Ind., and Encino, Calif., and reveal information about Jackson's childhood, “which was filled with abuse, hard labor, relentless ambition and conflict between his religious upbringing and growing fame,” VH1 said.
Among guests on Secret Childhood: a young man who claimed that Jackson took their friendship too far; former CBS Records music mogul Walter Yetnikoff; Tatiana Thumbtzen, Jackson's co-star from the video for "The Way You Make Me Feel"; and childhood pen pal Teresa J. Gonsalves.
