Viacom Board Loses Two
By MCN Staff
published Viacom Inc. said Thursday that 15 directors will run for re-election to its board of directors following the resignations of two members.
William H. Gray III and Ivan Seidenberg are leaving Viacom’s board in order to focus on other business interests.
“While we will miss their counsel and leadership, their decision gives us the opportunity to further reduce the size of our board, as we did last year, and move closer to our target size of 14 members,” chairman and CEO Sumner Redstone said in a prepared statement.
Viacom’s annual stockholders’ meeting will be held May 19.
