Voom’s Animania HD network has acquired the exclusive U.S. HD rights to Pet Alien.
The series will debut on the Rainbow DBS-owned service’s HD-animation channel Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
From Taffy Entertainment and targeted toward kids 6-11, Pet Alien “is a screwball character-comedy with strong physical gags along the vein of Tex Avery's cartoon classic Looney Tunes,” the HD direct-broadcast satellite service said in a prepared statement.
