Wever Wins Best Supporting Comedy Actress Emmy for Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie' Role
Merritt Wever won the first Primetime Emmy on Sunday, nabbing the best supporting actress in a comedy trophy for her portrayal of Zoey Barkow in Showtime’s Nurse Jackie.
In his first nomination, Tony Hale took home the best supporting actor in a comedy Emmy for his work as Gary Walsh in HBO's Veep.
Wever was either knocked out by the occasion, or wante to leave the crowd almost speechless, as she walked off stage following a quick: "Wow, thank you so much. I gotta go, bye."
It was her second nomination for her Barkow role.
