WICT Lines Up LEA Award Winners
The executive officers and board of directors for the Southern California Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications have selected the five winners of the 2009 LEA Awards.
Recognizing achievements in the areas of leadership, education and advocacy, a committee comprising industry leaders announced the following recipients from a distinguished pool of nominees:
*Woman To Watch - Karla White, workforce manager for the San Diego Division of Time Warner Cable;
*Advocate Leader - Todd Schoen, senior vice president, affiliate marketing and ad sales for Fox;
*Woman Of The Year - JoAnn Redden, director, video product marketing, Cox Communications Cable Networks;
*Lifetime Achievement - Salaam Coleman Smith, president, Style Network; and
*WICT Board Member of the Year - Nicole Siegel, affiliate sales manager for the west region at Lifetime Networks.

The awards will be presented at a gala celebration on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
"Southern California is home to the best and brightest in cable and telecommunications and WICT is pivotal in providing support and programs to industry professionals to allow for continued growth and excellence," said Colleen Dillaway, WICT Southern California Chapter president and marketing director, Bright House Networks Bakersfield division, in a statement announcing the winners. "We are proud to honor these amazing individuals who embody not only the epitome of success and service to others but also inspire all of us, and women everywhere, to be the best we can be."
