Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., will be the site of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.’s WrestleMania 22 pay-per-view event, the wrestling organization said Thursday.
WrestleMania 21 is set for April 3 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, while WrestleMania XX was held at New York’s Madison Square Garden last March.
“We are extremely pleased to announce Rosemont and Allstate Arena as the site for WrestleMania 22 in Chicago," WWE executive vice president of marketing Kurt Schneider said in a prepared statement.
“There were several communities interested in hosting WrestleMania, but Rosemont provided the best package of incentives, and it was a sentimental favorite because of its great fans and the tremendous experiences we have had there, particularly with past WrestleManias,” he added.
